1. When a power outage occurs for any reason and cannot be restored within a short time, the backup power supply must be activated.
Steps:
① Disconnect the circuit breakers for the mains power supply (including those in the distribution room control cabinet and the mains input breaker in the dual-power transfer box); throw the double-throw (transfer) switch to the backup power side; ensure the backup power input breaker within the dual-power transfer box remains in the open (off) position.
② Start the backup power supply (diesel generator set); once the unit is running normally, close the generator air circuit breaker and the circuit breakers in the backup power control cabinet in sequence.
③ Close the backup power circuit breakers within the transfer box one by one to supply power to the various loads.
④ While the backup power supply is operating, the duty operator must not leave the generator set; they must adjust voltage and frequency in response to load changes and promptly address any abnormalities.
2. When mains power is restored, the power source must be switched back promptly; the backup power supply is disconnected, and the mains supply is resumed.
Steps:
① Disconnect the backup power circuit breakers one by one in the following order: backup power breaker in the transfer box → circuit breakers in the backup power distribution cabinet → generator main switch → throw the double-throw switch to the mains power side.
② Shut down the diesel engine according to the standard shutdown procedure.
③ Close the circuit breakers one by one in sequence, starting from the mains main switch down to the branch circuit breakers, and set the mains input breaker in the transfer box to the closed (on) position.
