Usage Environment
This SQ series analog current meter operates reliably in industrial and commercial environments, including control panels, distribution boards, and power monitoring cabinets.
Designed for -20°C to +50°C and up to 85% non-condensing humidity, it delivers stable performance in indoor and ventilated outdoor settings. With vibration-resistant construction, it suits manufacturing plants, building electrical systems, and renewable energy setups, offering clear visual readings for 50/60Hz AC circuits with standard current transformers.
Why Choose Analog Current Meter?
When choosing an analog current meter for your electrical system, the SQ series analog ammeter stands out as a reliable, cost-effective choice for industrial and commercial applications.
Unlike digital meters that rely on power and displays prone to failure, this analog unit provides instant, continuous visual current readings, letting operators spot overloads and fluctuations at a glance-no complex setup or calibration required.
With a proven 1.5 accuracy class, compatibility with standard 50/60Hz AC circuits and current transformers, and a rugged, vibration-resistant build, it delivers stable performance in control panels, distribution boards, and manufacturing environments. Simple to install, low-maintenance, and immune to minor electromagnetic interference, it ensures long-term dependability for your power monitoring needs.
Installation & Operation Instructions
1.Installation
- Pre-check: Confirm the meter's CT ratio and specifications match your circuit; disconnect power before installation.
- Mounting: Insert the meter into a standard panel cutout (for example: 72×72mm ), secure it, and install vertically away from magnetic fields or heat sources.
- Wiring: Connect the meter to the matching current transformer's secondary side, following the correct polarity.
2.Operation & Maintenance
- Pre-Power Verification: Confirm the circuit power is disconnected before final checks; verify the meter's wiring polarity and CT ratio match the circuit specifications.
- Initial Zero Check: With no load applied, ensure the pointer rests exactly at the zero mark. Adjust the front calibration screw gently if misaligned.
- Power-Up & Real-Time Monitoring: Restore power to the circuit; the pointer will immediately display the current value. No configuration or warm-up time is required.
- Scale Reading: Read the pointer position directly on the dial, using the scale corresponding to your CT ratio (e.g., 600/5A) for accurate primary current values.
- Overload Monitoring: Watch for sustained pointer movement near the upper scale limit, which indicates an overload condition requiring immediate inspection.
- Abnormal Response Check: If the pointer sticks, jitters, or fails to move, power off the circuit immediately to inspect wiring and connections.
- Safe Operation Practices: Never open the meter housing while powered; avoid physical shocks or impacts to the panel-mounted unit during operation.
