Product Overview
The AC Miniature Residual Current Circuit Breaker is a compact residual current operated circuit-breaker with integral overcurrent protection, designed for 50Hz low-voltage AC distribution systems. It combines earth-fault protection, indirect-contact protection, overcurrent protection, and short-circuit protection in one modular device. For single-pole two-wire and two-pole circuits, it supports AC 230V applications; for three-pole, three-pole four-wire, and four-pole circuits, it supports AC 400V applications. With rated current options up to 63A, the product is suitable for residential distribution boards, commercial power panels, small industrial circuits, and general low-voltage electrical installations.
This product is especially useful where both personal safety and circuit protection are required. When leakage current, insulation failure, overload, or short-circuit conditions occur, the breaker helps disconnect the faulty circuit quickly and reduce the risk of electric shock, equipment damage, and fire caused by unresolved earth faults. For versions equipped with overvoltage protection, voltage surges caused by abnormal grid conditions can also be limited, improving system safety and reliability. The product is widely used as backup protection in low-voltage systems and complies with GB 16917-1 and IEC 61009-1 standards.

Working Environment
The recommended ambient air temperature is from -5°C to +40°C, and the average temperature within 24 hours should not exceed +35°C. For applications where the upper limit exceeds +40°C or the lower limit is lower than -25°C, the working conditions should be declared before ordering so that the correct product configuration can be confirmed. The installation altitude should not exceed 2000m.
At +40°C, relative humidity should not exceed 50%. Higher humidity is acceptable at lower temperatures, such as up to 90% at +20°C, but appropriate measures should be taken to prevent condensation caused by temperature changes. The product is suitable for pollution degree 2 and installation category II or III. It is generally installed vertically, with the handle upward as the power-on position, and the installation site should be free from significant vibration, impact, and excessive magnetic field interference.
Recommended Applications
- Residential distribution boards and apartment electrical panels.
- Commercial lighting, socket, and branch distribution circuits.
- Small machinery and equipment circuits requiring earth-fault backup protection.
- Low-voltage systems where protection against indirect contact is required.
- Electrical installations where overcurrent and leakage protection should be combined in one modular device.
Installation and Use
Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician according to local electrical regulations. Before wiring, the upstream supply must be disconnected and verified as de-energized. The device should be mounted on a compatible DIN rail in a distribution enclosure, installed vertically, and wired according to the circuit configuration and terminal markings. After installation, check terminal tightness, insulation condition, and correct handle operation before energizing the system.
During operation, repeated tripping should not be ignored or bypassed. If the breaker trips due to leakage current, overload, short circuit, or abnormal voltage conditions, the downstream circuit and connected equipment should be inspected before resetting. Do not replace the device with a higher current rating unless the cable size, load current, and protection requirements have been properly verified.
