Product Overview
The Surge Protective Device is designed for AC 50/60Hz low-voltage distribution systems with rated voltage up to 380V. It helps protect distribution circuits and connected equipment from lightning surge, switching overvoltage and transient voltage impact. Installed in a power distribution box or cabinet, the device discharges surge current to earth and limits the residual voltage to a safer level, reducing the risk of damage to meters, controllers, communication equipment, precision loads and other downstream electrical devices.
This series is available in multiple discharge capacity levels and pole configurations, making it suitable for residential, commercial and industrial power protection projects. The modular design supports 35mm DIN rail installation, while the visual indicator makes maintenance simple: green indicates normal operation and red indicates failure. For buyers looking for a practical surge arrester for distribution panels, this product provides reliable protection performance, easy installation and convenient module replacement.

Recommended Applications
- Main low-voltage distribution cabinets in buildings.
- Factory power distribution panels, machine rooms and workshop control cabinets.
- Solar PV combiner boxes, energy storage systems and outdoor electrical equipment.
- Data rooms, communication rooms, monitoring equipment and other sensitive electronics.
- Branch distribution boxes requiring additional protection before terminal equipment.
Installation and Use
Installation should be completed by a qualified electrician after the upstream power supply has been disconnected. Mount the device on a 35mm DIN rail and install it after the main incoming switch or at the recommended lightning protection boundary. Wiring must follow the system diagram for the applicable TN-S, TN-C, TT or other power system. The phase line, neutral line and protective earth must be connected according to the terminal markings. The grounding conductor should be short and straight; total connection length is recommended to be less than 0.5m to reduce inductive voltage drop during surge discharge.
A suitable backup fuse or circuit breaker should be installed upstream according to project design. After energizing the system, check the indicator window. Green means normal operation. Red means the module has failed and should be replaced immediately.
Maintenance and Replacement
Inspect the device during regular electrical maintenance and before thunderstorm seasons. Confirm that the status window is green, terminals are tight, the enclosure is not deformed and there is no abnormal heating or burning mark. After a severe lightning event, inspection should be performed even if no visible failure is found. If the indicator turns red, disconnect the power supply and replace the module with the same specification.
Selection Notes
When selecting a surge protection device, confirm the system voltage, grounding system, pole configuration, discharge current level, voltage protection level and installation position. Higher discharge capacity is recommended for main incoming cabinets, outdoor distribution systems and sites with higher lightning exposure. Branch distribution boxes can use medium or lower discharge capacity according to the risk level and coordination design.
